Graduate Student Mission Manager Eric Alpine is now assembling the prototype thermal control system for an upcoming thermal risk mitigation test.The Fermilab DarkNESS X-ray focal plane must be maintained at 170K for it to detect potential signs on dark matter in decaying sterile neutrinos. The test in the LASSI thermal vacuum chamber will confirm the system's ability to meet performance goals for this exciting mission.
