Its Illinois State Fair time again, so LASSI is on the road, spreading the word about the great projects and opportunities we offer within the Aerospace Engineering Department. Opening Day in the STEM Pavilion was busy with setup and traditional visits to the world famous Butter Cow and a conversation with Mr. Lincoln. Chris Young and Qi Lim were able to hang our Vertically Landed Rocket Challenge drone and drop test article from the rafters in the Pavilion. Meanwhile, Michael Harrigan prepared for his upcoming 2-day STEM camp with 4H/Extension students. A visit by our DoD STEM coordinator, Heather Arnett, rounded out the day. The Fair runs through the weekend, so grab a corn dog and stop by our booth for some great swag!
