International Quantum Entanglement and Annealing Experiment (IQEA) Funded
IQEA

A collaboration between LASSI, JPL, UIUC Physics Dept, University of Waterloo, National University of Singapore, NASA GRC, and AdvR, Inc has been formed to fly the International Quantum Entanglement and Annealing experiment to ISS next year.

The payload of opportunity will be attached externally to the Nanoracks Bishop airlock. Sized as a 2U, <3kg box, the experiment will demonstrate the viability of waveguide-based quantum entanglement sources for space-quantum applications. Optical annealing will be implemented  to reduce radiation-induced detector noise.

Launch is scheduled for August 2022.
